My BackgroundI grew up on a dairy farm near Gilbert, Iowa until my freshman year of high school when I moved to the Sheldahl area and stayed there until graduating from North Polk High School. After High School I attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa. I graduated from Simpson prepared to be a high school social studies teacher, however following college, I had the opportunity to spend 2 years with the US Army, where I was stationed in Germany. Upon returning home, I got into the finance world, and joined a community bank in late 1974, and have been in community banking ever since. During my banking career, I have attended several Iowa Banking Association (IBA) Schools – School of Banking, Ag Credit school, Commercial Lending School and I have also attended the Prochnow School of Banking In Madison WI. My Position and Job RequirementsAs Vice President - Assistant Relationship Manager I support the lenders at our Ames office. My ApproachWith nearly 30 years of banking experience, my desire here at the bank is to help out in any way I can, thus contributing to the success of our bank. |
